The State Fair of Texas

How often do you attend the State Fair of Texas? Do you have any information about this important event that happens in the State of Texas? Well, here is the fun fact, since 1886, Dallas has been hosting The State Fair of Texas annually. However, there were only five exceptions. 1942-1945, the event was canceled because of World War II (WWII). The 1918 State Fair of Texas also got canceled due to World War I (WWI).

DFW Airport

Dallas Zoo

Dallas Zoo is a famous tourist attraction with over 2000 animals, including 400 different species. But, does it sound unrealistic to say that it all began with just four animals? Yes, the city of Dallas brought in two deer and two mountain lions from Colorado into the zoo in 1888.

It is interesting to note how Dallas managed to be one of the award-winning zoos. After the four animals were brought in, they were placed in Pegs within the city park.
